Ola’s passion for ceramics is a reflection of her artistic journey and her deep connection to the mesmerizing beauty of the Irish coastline. With over seven years of experience as a ceramist and mixed media artist, Ola’s work is a testament to her unwavering dedication to her craft.

Drawing inspiration from the textures, colours, and shapes of the seaside, Ola infuses her ceramic pieces with a touch of tranquillity and a dash of uniqueness. Each creation tells a story, meticulously designed and meticulously handcrafted in her Kitchen Studio, nestled within the historic Ardgillan Castle in Ireland.

Using a combination of slab-building and slipcasting techniques, Ola brings her visions to life, transforming clay into breathtaking works of art. From functional tableware to captivating home decor, Ola’s ceramics evoke a sense of joy and harmony, inviting you to embrace the simple pleasures of life.

Beyond her artistic endeavours, Ola is a mum of two teenage boys, wife to a mountain climber and a self-proclaimed cat lady. With a love for nature, she finds solace in the coastal town she calls home, where she’s lived for over 15 years. Her connection to the sea is woven into every piece she creates, infusing her ceramics with the essence of the ocean.

Through her brand, Stories by Ola, Ola invites you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us. Whether it’s enjoying a warm cup of coffee in a handcrafted mug or gathering around a table adorned with her vibrant creations, Ola’s ceramics add a touch of magic to your everyday moments.

Join Ola on this artistic adventure and let her ceramics transport you to a world where the sea’s embrace and the serenity of nature intertwine. Experience the artistry, passion, and story behind every piece, as Ola’s creations become an integral part of your own narrative.

On top of being an amazing artist, Ola is a wonderful ceramics teacher. Workshops with her are a mindful break from the world to be creative - thanks again Ola!

  • positive review  Myself and my mother recently did a pottery workshop with Ola. Absolutely loved every minute of it, Olas really helpful and we learnt so much. She really let us take our time, do our own thing and get creative. Can’t wait to return in a couple of weeks to glaze out pieces!

  • positive review  I did 2 pottery sessions with Ola & was totally bitten by the pottery bug. Ola is really knowledgeable, let’s you get creative and then she guides you through and her pottery is beautiful. Ola is relaxed and easy going but really knows her stuff. she makes pottery feel accessible and un-intimidating, for a complete novice I loved what I made, plates & dishes that I actually use! I 100% recommend the handbuilding sessions and her own creations are gorgeous.

positive review  Ola draws an inspiration from a landscape and nature around her and very skillfully translates it into her “stories”. I particularly love the ones with floral impressions. And I’m chuffed with my first one from Ola 😊 it’s a meadow’s touch. A glazed beauty.
