I’m just back from an unforgettable few days at Bord Bia Bloom – and what an experience it was. Bloom is Ireland’s biggest gardening and lifestyle festival, held every year in the heart of Dublin’s Phoenix Park, and this year it truly lived up to its reputation.
I had the joy of exhibiting in the DCCI Irish Craft Village, a space dedicated to showcasing the best of Irish design and making. My stand was shared with the incredibly talented Heather from Prints of Ireland – and let me tell you, sharing the space with her was a total delight. Our work sat beautifully side by side. We both love telling visual stories, so it felt like a really natural match.
What made the event even more special was getting to meet so many of you in person. As someone who normally works alone in a quiet studio, it’s honestly such a treat to chat face-to-face with people who follow my work online. Your kind words, hugs, feedback (and your love for my new Flower Pockets!) meant the world.
Bloom can be full-on, five long days, changing weather, and a whirlwind of conversations – but I wouldn’t trade it for anything! It’s a celebration of Irish creativity, connection, and community, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
To everyone who stopped by, made a purchase, or simply said hello, thank you. Your support keeps small Irish businesses like mine going. Here’s to more beautiful events, real-life connections, and handmade stories ahead.
Love,
Ola
