Christmas Ceramic Wreath Workshop

Start your Christmas season with something handmade.

Join me at Ardgillan Castle, Balbriggan, for a creative ceramic workshop where you’ll make your own unique Christmas wreath from clay – a handmade decoration to treasure and bring out year after year.

During this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn handbuilding techniques, shape your wreath and create decorative details such as leaves and berries. You’ll then paint your piece using colourful underglazes to give it your own personal touch.

No previous ceramics experience is needed. I’ll guide you through the process, step by step, so you can enjoy the experience and focus on creating something beautiful.

What happens after the workshop?

Once your wreath is complete, I’ll take care of the finishing process in my studio. Your piece will go through a bisque firing, glazing and a second firing to create a durable ceramic decoration.

Your finished wreath will be ready for collection in about 3-5 weeks, once the firing process is complete.

A creative experience to share

This workshop is suitable for adults and young people aged 16+ attending independently. Children aged 10+ are also welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian, with both the child and adult participating in the workshop. Each participant needs their own booking and will create their own wreath.

It’s a lovely opportunity to spend creative time together and make something personal for the festive season.

Cancellations and refunds

Bookings cancelled more than 14 days before the workshop are eligible for a refund. Bookings are non-refundable within 14 days of the workshop date.

If you can no longer attend, your place may be transferred to another person, subject to advance notice and confirmation from Stories by Ola.

Ceramics and firing

Ceramics are handmade, and kiln firing carries an inherent risk of cracking, warping or breakage. While every care will be taken, firing results cannot be guaranteed.

Photography and social media

Photographs may be taken during the workshop and shared on Stories by Ola’s social media channels and other promotional materials. If you have any concerns about being photographed or appearing in shared content, please contact me before the event so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Workshop cancellation

Stories by Ola reserves the right to cancel the workshop if the minimum number of participants is not reached. If the workshop is cancelled by Stories by Ola, you will receive a full refund.
