Each one is formed by hand in my studio at Ardgillan Castle, using speckled stoneware clay and finished in coastal-inspired glazes: soft blue, matte turquoise, or classic white. They hang from a natural yute cord, ready to grace a wall, hook or doorknob with a touch of seasonal charm.

I created a plaster mould from that very shell, then pressed each piece by hand using speckled stoneware clay. The surface captures every tiny groove and ripple, preserving the natural texture, like holding a piece of the coastline in your hand.
